MR. LARRY PARKS Mr. Thomas Larry Parks, 56, employee of Shapard Lumber Company and resident of Rock Springs Road, died Monday, October 14, 2002 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bobby Anderson and Jim Costello officiating. Burial will be in Hardison Cemetery on Rock Springs Road. The family will visit with friends Wednesday after 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Marshall County native was the son of the late Thomas Wilburn Parks and Mary Evelyn Rutledge Parks. He was a 1965 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He was a member of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ where he served as an elder and as preacher for almost thirty years. Survivors include his wife Mary Jean White Parks of Columbia; one daughter, Deborah Jo (Kevin) Brink of Lawrenceburg; one granddaughter, Melody Brink of Lawrenceburg; four brothers, Jerry Wayne (Patsy) Parks of Lewisburg, Billy Lloyd (Tammy) Parks of Arkansas, Ronnie Daniel (Rhonda) Parks of Lynnville, Sammie Leonard (Trina) Parks of Summertown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Wilburn Parks and Glenn Parks and one sister, Mary Ann Parks. Pallbearers will be Neil Delk, Jason Delk, Robert Dycus, Steve Holmes, Rip Baxter, Jr., Tommy Anderson, Jim Mash and Gary Debord. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ, the men of New Lasea Church of Christ, Glenn Rodgers, Dr. Eric Dyer, Dr. Seth Cooper, Kip Lindsey, Bobby Matlock, Danny Johns, Everett Campbell, Todd Campbell, Wayne England, Adam Sanders, Larry Sewell, Bill Chaffin and Greg Grissom.
