View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Larry Thomas Fox, 78, died Friday, May 27, 2022 at his residence in Spring Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Fox, John Waldrum, and Harold Delk officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The the family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born November 8, 1943 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Roy Hurchel Fox and the late Mary Pearl Slaughter Fox. For 37 years, he was a barber, having worked at Breece’s in Columbia for 3 years and in the Spring Hill area for 34 years. Mr. Fox drove a school bus for 21 years, enjoyed farming and bluegrass music. He was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, whom he married August 11, 1962, Myra Avis Moore Fox of Spring Hill; daughter, Janet (Edward) Andrews of Culleoka; grandchildren, Jessica (Devin) Bradford of Dickson; Steven (Amanda) Andrews of Murfreesboro; Julie (Brett) Ballinger of Oakland; great grandchildren, Emily Bradford, Riley Ballinger, Kinsley Ballinger; and sister-in-laws, Jenny Lee Fox and Betty fox both of Columbia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Johnson, Velma McNeely, Maebell Johnson; and brothers, Roy Fox and Robert Fox. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Howell, Leroy Fox, Johnathan Waldrum, Matthew Moore, Blair Keeling, Sam King, Tim Lee, and Mike Lara. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Anderson, Edward Harmon, Dr. Howard Kirshner, Dr. James Hayes, and members of New Lasea Church of Christ.
