Larry Stephen Whitehouse

Larry Stephen Whitehouse, 76, a long-time resident of Columbia, TN passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Whitehouse will be conducted Friday, October 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rick Points and Richard Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Larry was the son of the late Darrell Edward Whitehouse and Delores Dean Doyle Whitehouse. On March 8, 1975, he married the love of his life, his wife of 46 years, the late Mary Louise Burton Whitehouse. Larry loved being out in his yard, whether it was mowing grass, planting flowers, or watching the wildlife from his back deck. He loved classic cars, pointing out the ones he had back in the day, knowing it irritated us that he didn’t keep at least one. He loved kicking back, listening to his collection of albums. Most of all, he loved being with his family, especially his two girls.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Dawn Whitehouse and Jennifer (Rashad) Whitehouse both of Columbia; three grandsons, Taylor DeVitt, Tristan Curry, and Drake Gandee; niece, Dannielle (Will) Whitehouse; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and lifelong friend, Tommy Schorck.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn and Danny Whitehouse.

Pallbearers will be Taylor DeVitt, Tristan Curry, Drake Gandee, Ricky Hale, Tommy Schorck, and Jason Curry. Honorary pallbearers will be Rashad Short, Will Clark, Jeff Lovell, Chuck Baker, and Kyle Shumate.
