View Funeral WebcastMrs. Ruby Lavinia Temes Green, 86, former resident of Columbia, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 noon at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 109 East 17th Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Florence, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Lee Temes and Mary Ragan Temes. She attended Draughan's Business College and Volunteer State at Gallatin. For a number of years she made her home in Nashville and retired from May Hosiery Mill and General Shoe Corporation. Mrs. Green had the opportunity to travel with her former husband all around the world. She loved quilting, sewing and making dolls. She was a member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Daniel Clayton (Barbara) Green of Bradenton, Florida, Buddy Wayne (Adena) Green of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Paul Thomas Green, Sr. of Old Hickory, Tennessee; two brothers, Willard (Elizabeth) Temes of Columbia, Tennessee, and Buddy (Norma) Temes of Big Sandy, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Luke Green, Caleb Green, Dr. Michael Green, Kevin Green, Paul T. Green, Jr. and Roxanne Green Pope; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie Lynn Green, Madelyn Frances Green, and Kaida Marie Pope; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, G.W. Temes, James Lee Temes, J.C. Temes, and Robert Cecil Temes; grandson, Adam Micajeh Green.
