Lennie Sullivan Collins, 79, longtime resident of Spring Hill, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with grandson Brian Collins and Mark Mardis officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James Wesley Sullivan and the late Mary Jane Askin Sullivan. She enjoyed watching the wild animals that would daily visit her house; but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Calvin Robert Collins of Spring Hill; son, Dewayne (Linda) Collins of Decatur, AL; daughter, Brenda Collins of Columbia; grandchildren, Brian (Amanda) Collins and Shannon (Mike) Allred, both of Decatur, AL; great grandchildren, Zoie Collins, Zanna Collins, Zimeri Collins, Zadie Collins, Ella Allred; sister, Pauline Kelley of Columbia; sister-in-law, Ella Stanfill Lanius of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Sullivan and Elgie Sullivan; and sisters, Irene Collins, Elizabeth Davis, and Lorene Sullivan. Active pallbearers will be Brian Collins, Timmy Collins, Tommy Stanfill, Wayne Harvey, Lynn Harvey, and Danny Stricklin. Honorary pallbearers include Mike & Pansy Saylor, Margaret Petty, and Margie Jewell.
