Lennie Irene Pruitt Pruitt, 87, resident of Kincaid Street in Spring Hill, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Totty's Bend Cemetery in Hickman County. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late McKinley Pruitt and Elizabeth Montgomery Pruitt. She worked as a machine operator for CPS Industries for 19 years and formerly operated Spring Hill Day Care. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ. She was married January 14, 1923 to Roy Beasely Pruitt who preceded her in death January 10, 2004. Survivors include daughters, Patricia Fay Hood, Linda Kay Bee, and Betty Jane Smith of Columbia; grandchildren, Theron Hood, Troy (Keela) Hood, Todd (Lisa) Fitzgerald, Chase (Shelby) Smith, and Ashley (Josh) Simpson; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Simmons of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Trent Hood. Pallbearers are Todd Fitzgerald, Jack Fitzgerald, Josh Simpson, Chase Smith, Christian Powell, and DeWayne Anderson.
