Lillie Mae Tomlinson Capps

View Video Tribute Mrs. Lillie Mae Tomlinson Capps, 88, resident of Mockingbird Drive, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols with Jerry Elder officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 11a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Cleveland Tomlinson and Carrie Mae Alderson Tomlinson. She was 1941 graduate of Columbia Central High School.On March 15, 1946 she married Jack Holderfield Capps who preceded her in death September 25, 2003. Mrs. Capps was a retired secretary from Publix Shirt Company. She was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters Barbara (Glenn) Puckett of Peachtree City, Georgia, Beverly (Jerry) Vaughn and Bethany (special friend David Kidroske) Capps both of Columbia; son Billy (Joyce) Capps of Columbia; grandchildren, Steve Puckett, Melissa Puckett, Julie (Tommy) Little all of Peachtree City, GA, Ashley Capps, Ivana Capps both of Columbia, Leslie (Tim) Morton of Culleoka, Amanda (Mark) Lukasik of Spring Hill, Katie Allen, Josh (Heather) Potts, Billy Dean Capps all of Columbia; step-grandchildren George (Ashley) Richardson of LaVergne, Shawn Richardson of Columbia; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Meika Capps and sister, Beatrice Tomlinson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
