View Funeral Webcast Linda Blair "Lynn" Farris Bell, 71, retired employee of the Maury County Circuit Court Clerk's office and resident of Thomas Place, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Donna Higginbotham and Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in Old Well Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Herbert Farris and Josephine Kennedy Farris. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. She loved gardening and growing flowers and was an avid reader. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Joe Fearon Bell of Columbia whom she married in 1958; son, Joseph Kent Bell of Spring Hill; daughters, Ruth Olivia (Bob) Simmons and Nora Diane (Mike) Bone both of Columbia; sister, Ruth Olivia Tart of Falls Church, Virginia; brothers, Clyde W. (Sara) Farris of Columbia, Herbert Henry (Lynn) Farris, Jr. and Billy K. (Carolyn) Farris both of Virginia; grandchildren, Jonas Fearon (Holley) Bell, Aimee Denise (Scott) Baldwin, Amanda Blair (Craig) Bechet, Aaren Nicole Springer, Thomas Carson Bone, Joseph Nolan Bone; and great-grandchildren, Christian Scott Baldwin, Savannah Ruth Baldwin and Carter William Bechet. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Fearon Bell and a brother, James Henry Farris. Active pallbearers are Stan Bell, Richard Farris, Jim Anderson, Todd Greer, Garrick Jones, Carson Bone, Nolan Bone and Jonas Bell. Friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family wishes to express special thanks to Olivia Whiteside and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Maury Regional Medical Center who tended to her needs.
