Linda Kujala Hardy

Linda Sue Kujala Hardy, 51, registered nurse with the Maury County Board of Education, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at her residence on Mere Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Entombmentl will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1864, Columbia, 38401. Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, she was a graduate of Trenton High School and earned her Degree in Nursing from Columbia State Community College. Mrs. Hardy served as school nurse for Woodard, Brown, Culleoka, and Highland Park schools. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Hardy, Sr. of Columbia, whom she married August 2, 1980; daughter, Lindsay (Brian) Weaver of Columbia; sons, Jeffrey Allen (Jennifer) Hardy, Jr. and Jonathan Hardy, both of Columbia; grandchildren, Sutherland Hardy and Jeffrey Holt Hardy; her mother, Alice Carolyn Burns Kujala of Trenton, Michigan; sisters, Cheri (Ben) Letizio of Allen Park, Michigan and Cindy (Kevin) Magda of Jonesville, Michigan; brothers, Gary (Jackie) Kujala of Orange Park, Florida and Steve (Patti) Kujala of Trenton, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Edward Kujala. Pallbearers are Doug Kelley, Robin Langley, Chris Ray, Eric Hileman, Brad Sauve, and Marty Leland.
