Linda Robbins Weatherly

Linda Robbins Weatherly, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was born July 10th, 1936 to the late Frank and Toby Robbins. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harley Brown Weatherly, Sr., son, Harley Brown Weatherly, Jr., and her sister, Janice Kinard. She is survived by her daughter, Marion “Sisty” (Barry) Bates, of Chattanooga; two grandsons, Taylor Weatherly Smith (Antonella), their children, Aurelia and Roland all of Perth, Western Australia; and Captain Alan Walker Smith (Lindsay), their children, Hailey, Tessa, and James of Beaufort, S. Carolina; brother-in-law, Robert K. Weatherly, Sr., of Chattanooga. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was a member of Brainerd Church of Christ until they merged with East Brainerd Church of Christ congregation. She attended East Brainerd Church of Christ as long as her health permitted. Her love for the Lord and her love for her family were the driving forces of her life. Her heart was happiest when teaching her young Sunday school class about the love of God. She had a powerful and positive influence on fellow teachers as well as the little ones whose lives she helped mold. Our lives will be forever touched by her gentle ways and loving heart. The family wants to offer a special thanks to the staff of Morning Pointe at Greenbriar Cove. Thank you for enriching the lives of all your residents in so many ways, and partnering with families as together we watch our loved ones thrive. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Linda’s nephew, Alan Brown Weatherly officiating.
