View Funeral Webcast Ljiljana Milkovic Ball, age 82, of Clarksville and Culleoka, Tennessee, died peacefully on August 21, 2022. Born on July 18, 1940, in North Macedonia, she grew up in Belgrade, Serbia, and was the daughter of Milan Milkovic and Mila Vucetic Milkovic. On July 21, 1962, she married Millard Roger Ball in Belgrade and moved to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to begin her life as an Army wife. Ljiljana, “Lili” as she was known to her friends, delighted in telling stories about her native country. She was very proud of her heritage and wanted to make sure everyone she met knew of Nikola Tesla. She loved nature and enjoyed hiking, gardening, and flowers. Lili was known far and wide for her delicious cookies. Lili and her late husband enjoyed travelling especially to Hawaii where they lived with their family in the 1970’s. She was a member of the National Rakkasan Association and attended many reunions with her husband. She cherished her granddaughters and spent as much time with them as possible. Lili was a friend to everyone she met. Lili was predeceased in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her two children, Sandra Ball Finney (John), Culleoka, Tennessee, and her son, Robert David Ball, Pine Bluff, North Carolina, and her two granddaughters, Lili Katherine Finney and Larkin Cleary Finney of Culleoka, Tennessee. The family wishes to thank the Maury Regional Cancer Center, especially Dr. Romany Johnpulle and her nurses, for their loving care. The family is also very appreciative of the care given to our mother by Teresa Pride, her adoring and faithful caregiver. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 10, at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, Father Christopher Bowhay officiating. Visitation begins in the parish hall at 10:30 AM before the service. She will be laid to rest with her late husband at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, later this year. Please consider planting flowers or a tree in her memory.
