View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastMrs. Lois Brown Hickman, 86, resident of Main St. in Lynnville, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Barry Farris, Larry Benderman and Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday after 1:00 p.m. and Friday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1864, Columbia, TN 38402 or Stiversville Church of Christ, c/o Larry Benderman, 3837 Pulaski Hwy., Culleoka, TN 38451. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Hubert Brown and Anna Lorena Tice Brown. Following her 1946 graduation from Culleoka High School she taught school for one year in the Enterprise Community. On May 2, 1947 she married W.T. Hickman and the couple owned and operated the W.T. Hickman Market in Lynnville for fifty-one years. Mr. Hickman preceded her in death on June 13, 2010. Mrs. Hickman enjoyed flower gardening and was a member of Stiversville Church of Christ. Survivors include daughters, Lynda (Donnie) Hanna and Phyllis (Don) Worsham both of Lynnville; sisters, Doris (James) Hubbell of Columbia, Pearline McAnally of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Edward Brown of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Tracey (Randy) Norman of Lynnville, Scott (Martha) Hanna of Pulaski; great-grandchildren, Adam Norman, Jake Norman, Jack Norman, Eve Hanna, Amy Hanna; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Scott Hanna, Adam Norman, Jake Norman, Jack Norman, Randy Norman, Richard Hickman and Grant Hitt. Members of Stiversville Church of Christ will serve as Honorary pallbearers.
