Lois Irene Williams, 79, retired employee of the Federal Government and resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at NHC Place at Cool Springs. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Floyd A. Williams and Mamie Whitley Williams. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. Through the years her career led her to Atlanta, Washington, D. C. and Nashville. She was a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her siblings, Ollie Montgomery of Columbia; James "Jimmy" (Nancy) Williams of Columbia; F. E. "Bill" Williams of Waverly; Douglas (Roseann) Williams of Columbia; Donna (Robert) Brooks of Fairview; Larry Dean (Deborah) Williams of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Betty Williams of Navarre, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister and her husband, Pearl & Tommy Goodloe; sister, Joan Williams; brother, Bobby Williams; brother-in-law, Vance Montgomery; and sister-in-law, Joyce Williams.
