Lonzo Boyd Terry, 78, retired special projects supervisor for the City of Columbia, died Friday, October 10, 2014 at his residence in Santa Fe. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Eric Sandusky officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 16, 1936 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Lawrence Terry and Mamie Stanley Terry. Mr. Terry was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and had mined in West Virginia, Wyoming, and Arizona. He was a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include his wife whom he married October 24, 1983, Kathleen Hollenbeck Terry of Santa Fe; son, Donald Boyd (Nancy) Terry of Santa Fe; daughters, Cindy Terry Spadafore and Deborah May Terry, both of Arizona, Cathy (Burt) Williams of Kansas City, Missouri; stepdaughter, Tracy (Chad) Trammell of Santa Fe; stepson, Tony (Nancy) Tittle of Lebanon, Missouri; grandchildren, Michael Boyd (Lisa) Terry of Spring Hill, Samantha West and Jennifer Terry, both of Santa Fe; great grandson, Jason Terry of Santa Fe; sister, Delores Tachell of Orange Park, Florida; and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Cardin and brother, Charles Terry.
