Louise Parham Chambers

Mrs. Louise Parham Chambers, 95, retired school teacher, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Franklin, TN. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, 5344 Main St., Spring Hill, TN 37174 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. She was a graduate of Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. During her career she had been a teacher at Columbia Military Academy, Baker Elementary School and Riverside Elementary School. Mrs. Chambers was a longtime member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include two daughters, Judith (Tom) Taylor and Edith (George) Botts both of Franklin; two grandchildren, Laura (Michael) Smith and Blair (Bernie) McEvoy both of Franklin; 5 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Dr. George S. Scoville, Jr., Steven P. Scoville: and one niece, Blair Scoville Morgan.She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon David Chambers on September 6, 2005 and by a sister, Judith Parham Scoville in 1984.
