Mrs. Louise Parham Chambers, 95, retired school teacher, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Franklin, TN. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. She was a graduate of Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. During her career she had been a teacher at Columbia Military Academy, Baker Elementary School and Riverside Elementary School. Mrs. Chambers was a longtime member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include two daughters, Judith (Tom) Taylor and Edith (George) Botts both of Franklin; two grandchildren, Laura (Michael) Smith and Blair (Bernie) McEvoy both of Franklin; 5 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Dr. George S. Scoville, Jr., Steven P. Scoville: and one niece, Blair Scoville Morgan.She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon David Chambers on September 6, 2005 and by a sister, Judith Parham Scoville in 1984.
