Mrs. Louise Kelley Fite, 93, long-time former resident of Hampshire Pike, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Life Care of Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the last surviving member of the original John and Martha Fite family and their spouses of the Brown Hollow Community. She was one of 13 children born to the late Dean and Dixie Anderson Kelley and was a long-time member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. For several years, she worked for Parks-Harris Company. As a homemaker, Mrs. Fite was a wonderful cook and loved sharing her Southern country cooking with family and friends. She also loved gardening and she and Mr. Fite were well-known for their beautiful and bountiful vegetable and flower garden on the corner of Hampshire Pike and Lion Boulevard. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Fite Caudle; grandsons, Joe San (Cindy) Caudle and Randy Hunter (Sundae) Caudle; great-grandsons, Cameron Caudle, Hunter Caudle, and Collin Caudle; great-granddaughter, Campbelle Ann Louise Caudle; sister, Betty Kelley Mash; brother, Bud Kelley; special little Yorkie friend, JoJo; very special nieces, Helen Hickman and Sheila Haskin; very special sister-in-law, Peggy Kelley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulna Hunter "Runt" Fite, January 21, 1974; special devoted son-in-law, Joe Caudle in June, 2008; brothers, Carless Kelley, Stanley Kelley, Pat Kelley, Raymond Kelley, Benton Kelley, Penny Kelley, Allen Kelley, Bobby Kelley, R. M. Kelley, and Bill Kelley; and special little Yorkie, Rascal. Active pallbearers are Randy Caudle, Joe San Caudle, Cameron Caudle, Hunter Caudle, Collin Caudle, Willie Kelley, Ronnie Kelley, Bobby Fite, Joe Haskin, and Edgar Chumley. Honorary pallbearers include Frank Fite, Dr. Thomas Dake, Helen and Jimmy Hickman, Nell Gilliam, Sheila Haskin, Darlene Baxter, Frances Weaver, and Anna Ruth Jones.
