View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Louise Lunn Minor, 93, former resident of Woods Drive and The Bridge, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and Monday from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Ostomy Club at Maury Regional Medical Center, 1224 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in the Chapel Hill Community in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Junius Harlan Lunn and Bertha Derryberry Lunn. She was a 1938 graduate of Columbia Central High School and Columbia Business College in 1939. For 33 years, Mrs. Minor was associated with Dixie Manufacturing Company first as secretary and bookkeeper and retiring as Office Manager. A life-long member of the Church of Christ, she was a member of the congregation at West Seventh Street Church of Christ since 1973. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family and quilting. Mrs. Minor was a founding member of the Maury County Ostomy Club and 25-year member and former officer of the Nashville Ostomy Club. She married Sidney Dorris Minor August 18, 1940. Mr. Minor died September 21, 1972. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Minor (Jerry) Abner of Franklin, Janet Minor (John) Earwood of Columbia, and Jeanne Minor (Steve) Fox of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Alan (Diane) Abner of Murfreesboro, Todd(Kay) Abner of Franklin, Christopher (Jenny) Earwood of Franklin, Joshua (Analise) Earwood of Murfreesboro, Gregory Fox of Fayetteville, and Sidney (Wesley) Ogle of Fayetteville; twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Harlan Lunn; niece, Linda Lunn West; and loving caretaker, Katie Winchester. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family expresses deep appreciation to the staff of The Bridge Assisted Living Center, NHC Hillview, Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. Robert Sewell, the "Burgess Girls," Debbie, Diane, and Jane, and her loving cousin, Edith Sharp, for their kindness, care, and concern during her illness.
