Lula Mae Collins Ervin

View Funeral Webcast Lula Mae Collins Ervin, 84, retired employee of Weather Tamer and resident of Brannon Court, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Neapolis Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Limestone County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James Alford Collins and Melvine Scroggins Collins. She was married to Herman Ervin who preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Buck) Bishop of Mooresville; Sheila (Howard) Holt of Pulaski; five sons, Larry (Shirley) Collins of Wichita, Kansas; Charles (Phyllis) Ervin of Cornersville; Alford (Sandra) Ervin of Santa Fe; Mike (Anita) Ervin of Columbia; Gary Ervin of Culleoka; one brother, Calvin Collins of Spring Hill; one sister, Ella James Lanius of Mt. Pleasant; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Chester Ervin and Wade Collins. Pallbearers will be Mike Ervin, Jr., Allen Ervin, Joey Ervin, Joe Holt, Dennis Posey, Jr., and William Rich.
