View Video TributeMrs. Lura Morton Anderson, 86, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at Bethany Health Care in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Bend Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Tillman Francis Morton and Emma Slaughter Morton. On March 5, 1949 she married Quitman Anderson who preceded her in death on August 7, 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of Water Valley Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Kenneth W. (Pamela) Anderson of Lebanon; daughter, Carolyn (Don) Reeves of Nashville; grandchildren, Quinn Anderson of Lebanon, Ashley Reeves and Bethany Reeves both of Nashville; and nephew, James Morton of Santa Fe. Active pallbearers include Gardner Head, Jim Huey, Donnie Davis, Richard Davis, Jr. Leon Walters, Chet Chunn and O'Neal Hanes.
