View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Mable Ann Campbell Beard, 75, resident of Thomas Avenue, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Billy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was a 1954 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She married Ellis Russell Beard who preceded her in death November 15, 1988. Mrs. Beard had been employed as a seamstress at various times with Dixie Manufacturing, Creekwood and Weather Tamer. She was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Grady) Pearson of Lewisburg, sons, Michael (Nancy) Brady and David Brady, both of Columbia; step-children, Peggy (J.W.) Neal of Spring Hill, Wanda (Terry) Greenway of Columbia, and Gary (Teresa) Beard of Spring Hill; sister, Olivia Blalock of Columbia; brothers, Herschel (Maggie) Campbell of Culleoka, Donald Campbell, and Billy Ray Campbell, both of Columbia; grandchildren, Bryon Brady and Karen Brady, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Lori Pearson of Lewisburg; great-grandson, Jonathon Brady of Mt. Pleasant; step-grandchildren, John Allen Neal, Penny Keller, Amanda Pierce, Wendy Armstrong, Holly Snodgrass, all of Spring Hill, Stacey Greenway of Nashville, Famelle Crump, Matt Pearson ,both of Lewisburg, Brian Dodge, Dan Dodge, Dennis Dodge, Dustin Dodge, Matt Dodge, and Tonya Owens ,all of Columbia; several step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Brady, and three brothers, Harold Campbell, Luther Campbell, and John Campbell, Jr. Active pallbearers will be Bryon Brady, Nick Harmon, Sonny Robinson, Terry Locke, Randall Dooley and James Estes. Honorary pallbearers include Barbara Hart, Wanda Harmon, Sherrell Hickman ,and members of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of Maury Regional Medical Center, Core Physicians, Columbia Oncology, and Caris Healthcare.
