Margaret Taylor Delk

View Funeral Webcast Margaret Taylor Delk, 86, resident of McKnight Road in the Culleoka Community, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jeremy Butt and Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Asby Taylor and Lela Mayfield Taylor Hickman. She was a long-time member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. She was married in August 1939 to Robert L. "Jack" Delk who died August 8, 1996. Survivors include a son, Collett (Dianne) Delk of Murfreesboro; daughters, Fay Delk White of Alpine, California; Bennie (Jim) Pilkinton of Culleoka, and Margaret (Bill) Scannella of Pulaski; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ann Hayes of Columbia; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Delk Cox and grandson, Arthur Lawrence White, III. Pallbearers are Heath Delk, Brent Delk, Richard Pilkinton, Keith Malugin, Joey Parks, Zach Kittrell, Greg Machen, and Jamie Quinn.
