Mrs. Margaret Viola "MawMaw" Shouse Maxwell, 80, homemaker and resident of Santa Fe, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McGranahan and Rev. Joe Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Millard Maxwell of Santa Fe; one daughter, Elaine (David) Alderson of Williamsport; four sons, Gary (Dianne) Maxwell, Randy (Beverly) Maxwell, and Tracy (Kim) Maxwell, all of Santa Fe; Dwight "Bootie" (Cathy) Maxwell of Columbia; two sisters, Elizabeth Brunson of Columbia; Mary (R. B.) Potts of Santa Fe; eight grandchildren, Anthony Alderson, Brian (Lauren) Maxwell, Shelly (Marshall) Kinslow; Sheryl Matthews, Michael Maxwell, Taylor Maxwell, Trent Maxwell, Trevor Maxwell; and six great grandchildren, Kaitlin Alderson, Sam Blalock, Chelsea Matthews, Preston Matthews, Tyler Maxwell, and Eli Kinslow. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Van B. "Buster" Shouse, James Fred Shouse, Raleigh Shouse; and four sisters, Genevieve Hill, Pauline Andrews, Wilma Stanfill, and Thelma Oakley. Pallbearers will be Guy Potts, Kenny Brunson, John Stanfill, Dwain Andrews, Brent Roberts, Greg Shouse, Billy Shouse, and Brian Oakley. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Fresenius Medical Care.
