Margaret Williams McMinn

Margaret Williams McMinn, 91, died Wednesday, April 7, 2011 at her residence in Brentwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Johnnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4 :00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Ben Williams and Alberta Blalock Williams. She was married to Harold McMinn who preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. McMinn attended Maury County schools. She was a homemaker and member of Judson Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Will) McMinn Forte and Sandra McMinn Lashlee both of Brentwood; two sons, Wade Lance (Gayle) McMinn and James Harold (Amy) McMinn both of Hendersonville; eight grandchildren, Kim Anderson of Gallatin, Wade McMinn, Jr. of Nashville, Keith McMinn of Sequim, Washington, Christy Owens of Freeport, Maine, Rachel McMinn Martin of Hendersonville, Adam Forte and Nicholas Forte both of Brentwood and James "Sport" Thomas of Gallatin; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Pilkinton Henderson, Mildred Quirk and four brothers, Harlan Williams, Coleman Williams, James Williams and Bill Williams, and one granddaughter, Stephanie Barnett. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Adam Forte, Nicholas "Nick" Forte, Will Anderson, Houston Anderson, Wade "Trey" McMinn, III, and James "Sport" Thomas.
