Margaret Dunniway Niccum

March 14, 1921 — May 6, 2011

Margaret L. Dunniway Niccum, 90, retired secretary for John Deere Corporation and former resident of Athens, Tennessee, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at her residence at Life Care of Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Baxter Memorial Gardens in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Keith Memorial United Methodist Church, Home Services Sunday School Class, 600 West Madison Avenue, Athens, Tennessee 37303. A native of Jacksonville, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Dunniway and Bertha Mai Lucas Dunniway. She was a graduate of Jacksonville Business College and a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Eugene Niccum and a sister, Sarah Louise "Peg" Clawdon. Survivors include five nephews, Jeff (Susan) Comerford of O'Fallon, Illinois, Todd (Kathy) Comerford of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Conn (Linda) Comerford of Athens, Tennessee, Dann (Terry) Comerford of Niota, Tennessee, and Ted (Lisa) Comerford of Columbia; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.
