View Video TributeMrs. Margaret Edith Pitts Parson, 92, resident of McMeen Circle, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Signature Health Care. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Pitts and Rev. Bob Mullenix officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 504 Florida Avenue, P.O. Box 689, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late George Washington Pitts and Mai Bell Goodwin Pitts. On November 14, 1945 she married A.B. Parson who preceded her in death August 27, 1968. She was retired from Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include daughters, Margaret Gail Marshall of Columbia, Betty Mai Isabell of Mt. Pleasant; son, George Edward Parson of Summertown; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Richard Marshall, II, Jeremy Marshall, Anthony Isabell, Greg Wood, Heath Parson and Colton Marshall. Honorary pallbearers include members of Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
