Mrs. Jones’ love for her family was surpassed only by her love for the Lord. She was a faithful and devoted member of Highland Park Baptist Church, where she actively participated in the life of the church for many years. Her kind heart, unwavering faith, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She found great joy in spending time with her family and treasured every opportunity to be with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Hinson (Kenneth) Pitts of Columbia; her son, Ron (Renee) Hinson of Hampshire; stepson, Phillip D. (Marion) Jones of Onalaska, Wisconsin; stepdaughters, Sharon Jones of Nashville, Esther (Don) Jones of Maryville, and Diana (Jay) Clark of Dresden; sister-in-law, Elsie (Harlan) Kelley of Columbia; and several beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Wair, Jerry Jones, Blake Kelley, Mike Mooningham, Doug Wells, Mike Anderson, James Lewis Cothran, and James Elbert Mayberry.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons and members of her Sunday School Class at Highland Park Baptist Church.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to her special friend, Mike Mooningham, and to the many friends who faithfully checked on her, provided transportation, and made sure she was able to attend church and other activities. Their kindness, friendship, and loving care were a tremendous blessing to Mrs. Jones and her family.
