View Video TributesView Funeral WebcastMrs. Clara Marie Barnes Hendley Lee, 88, retired employee of General Electric and resident of Concord Drive, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Madisonville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James Albert Barnes and Clara Rader Barnes. She was a former employee of Tennessee Knitting Mill. Mrs. Lee enjoyed flower gardening, playing the piano, and adding to her array of collectible rabbits. She was a member of First Family Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of forty-five years, Henry E. Lee of Columbia; five children, Randall (Betty) Hendley of Columbia; Janice McKennon of Hohenwald: Joel Hendley of Columbia; Ricky (Diane) Hendley of Trinity, Alabama; and Tamatha Lee Taylor of Columbia; stepdaughter, Kay Rainey of Franklin; two sisters, Anna Ruth Priest of Nashville; Leona (Arlan) Cummins of Pulaski; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Hendley, Lillian Fraser, and Wynona Doggett. Pallbearers will be Darryl McKennon, Randy Hendley, Troy Hendley, Eric Hendley, Jeremy Webb, and Chris Potts.
