View Funeral WebcastMrs. Marie Sims "Nanny" Prince, 76, resident of Dodson Gap Road in the Lynnville Community, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Art McCormick and Rev. Blake Hawthorne officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joseph William "J.W." Sims and Mattie Bell Jones Sims. She was retired from Moon Pencil Company in Lewisburg with 15 years service and also formerly worked at Southern Livestock and member of Lynnville Baptist Church. Mrs. Prince was a doting grandmother, loved collecting recipes and cooking, and especially enjoyed cooking for hunters in the Lynnville Community. Survivors include sons, Jerry W. (Lee Anne) Prince and Michael Trent "Heavy" Prince, both of Lynnville; sister, Hester (Fred) Neibarger of Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Ralph C. (Era) Sims of Columbia; grandchildren, Cassie Prince and Justin Prince, both of Lynnville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Lankford and brothers, William Sims, Harry Sims, and H. O. "Oscar" Sims. Active pallbearers are Dwain Hickman, Jeremy Hickman, Billy Kennedy, Jimmy Trigg, Charles W. Spencer, and Jason Roberts. Honorary pallbearers include Troy Dunnavant, Ronnie Lunn, Adam Lowery, Scott Luden, former employees of Moon Pencil Company, and doctors and staff of Centennial Medical Center.
