Markela Benefield

Markela Benefield, 64, retired bookkeeper for Alley Cassetty Brick Company, died Friday, January 4, 2013 at her residence on East 17th Street. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Butt officiating. The family will visit with friends at graveside.Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edward Benefield and Jo Ruth Hargrove Benefield and attended the Church of Christ.Survivors include her sister, Lynda (Herbert) Logue of Lewisburg; and several cousins, including Judy Crigger and Pamela Crabtree of Lewsiburg.
