Marlane Meissner Soldner

January 25, 1955 — April 24, 2026

Jacksonville, FL

With heavy hearts, yet profound gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Marlane Soldner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on April 24, 2026, after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 71. Marlane was born on January 25, 1955, in Columbia, Tennessee, to Phillip and Delores Meissner. From a young age, she exhibited a nurturing spirit that would guide her throughout her life. Her journey as a caregiver began when she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Maury County Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee.

In 1981, Marlane and her husband, Robert Soldner, embarked on a new chapter in Florida, where they started their own business and built a life filled with love and joy. Together, they raised two children, Katelyn and Cody, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion. Marlane devoted herself to homeschooling her children, nurturing their growth and education for many years.

Marlane’s love for her family was boundless. Her four grandsons—Knox, Nolan, Nash, and Noble Bryant—were the lights of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Her home was always open, offering a haven of warmth and delicious homemade treats. Her muffins and cookies were legendary, made with the same love she poured into every aspect of her life.

Beyond her family, Marlane had a deep affection for nature. Her garden was a testament to her green thumb and her love for all living things. Whether tending to her plants, admiring the birds, or caring for her beloved puppies, she found joy in the simple beauty of the world around her.

Marlane was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Delores Meissner, and her grandparents, Josie and Hobert Childress. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 44 years, Robert Soldner; her daughter, Katelyn Bryant, and son-in-law, Danny Bryant; her son, Cody Soldner; and her cherished grandsons, Knox, Nolan, Nash, and Noble Bryant. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on in each of them.

Marlane’s strength, independence, and unwavering beliefs were as much a part of her as her generosity and kindness. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and left an everlasting mark on all who knew her. Her memory will forever be a guiding light to those she leaves behind.

As we bid farewell to Marlane, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and reunited with her loved ones in the Kingdom of Heaven. A family service will be held to honor her memory in Tennessee at Santa Fe Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on May 29, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Coast Women’s Services (https://friendsoffirstcoast.org/donate/). Rest in peace, Marlane. You are in the arms of Jesus now, and you will forever remain in our hearts.
