View Funeral Webcast Martha Sharp Derryberry, 82, resident of Wedgewood Dr., died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Autism Society of Middle Tennessee, 955 Woodland St., Nashville, TN 37206-3753. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ and the Riddle-Williams Sunday School Class. Mrs. Derryberry was a homemaker and a very dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Edwin Derryberry of Columbia; sons, Kenny (Tammy) Derryberry of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Mark (Debbie) Derryberry of Columbia; brother, Julian (Rose) Sharp of Columbia; sister, Frances Davis of Columbia; grandchildren, Chase Derryberry (Chris) Saale of Pensacola, Florida, Amy Derryberry and Ben Derryberry both of Columbia; and great-grandchildren, Coby Jones and Gianna Jones both of Pensacola, FL. She was preceded in death by brothers, L.E. Sharp and Alton Sharp. Active pallbearers will be Alfred Haywood, Wayne Sharp, Jerry Sharp, Larry Warren, Terry Davis and Delano Haywood. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Riddle-Williams Sunday School Class at Graymere Church of Christ, Kitty and Bill Chaffin, Doug Moss, and Jewell Latta. Special thanks is extended to Dr. Stephen Simmons and staff for their care and cocern during her illness.
