Martha Jo House Sands

Martha Jo House Sands, 77, secretary for several years at Parkview Hospital and resident of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, November 11, 2022 at Magnolia Healthcare and Rehab. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Brother Frank Webb officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. She was a 1963 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. Martha was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her siblings, Shirley (Sammy) Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; Billy (Linda) House of Columbia; Betty (Dan) Palenscar of Centreville, Virginia; Patricia (Tommy) Kelly of Huntersville, North Carolina; Ruth Loveless of Columbia; sister-in-law, Judy House of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary House. Active pallbearers will be her nephews.
