View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Martha Alma Sanders Minatra, 89, former long-time resident of West Hardin Drive, died Friday, January 28, 2010 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services for Mrs. Minatra will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Rick Elsey officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski. Family and friends will visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to West End Baptist Church, 900 West 7th Street, Columbia 38401. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late John Rufus Sanders and Maggie Alma George Sanders and a 1939 graduate of Giles County High School. Mrs. Minatra served as secretary for First Baptist Church for a number of years and later in the same position at West End Baptist Church of which she was a charter member. Survivors include her husband, William Minatra, whom she married November 26, 1941; a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Prince Sanders of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lillie Ruth Sanders Erwin and Mary Lou Sanders Carden and a brother, James Ed Sanders. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
