Martha Ann King Scott

Mrs. Martha Ann King Scott, 72, resident of Primm Springs died Monday, November 26, 2012 at Hickman County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wilson Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Hickman County. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Floyd King and Edna Kelley King and attended Hickman County Schools. She married Granville Scott who preceded her in death August 20, 1997. Mrs. Scott was employed with Traveler's Rest Inn in Brentwood for thirty-two years. She was a member of Water Valley Independent Holiness Church. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Evans of Primm Springs; granddaughter, Toni Lynn Harrington of Lyles; sisters, Bernice Brady of Centerville, Edith Davidson of Lyles, Addie B. (Calvin) Scott of Santa Fe; and brother, Robert (Nina) King. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
