Mary Ruth Boehms

Mrs. Mary Ruth Webb Boehms, 79, retired Activities Director at Graymere Nursing Home and resident of Double Branch Road, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. David Spencer and Rev. David McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Little Lot Cemetery in Hickman County. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late William Webb and Lena Brown Boehms and was a graduate of Hickman County Schools. On December 15, 1951 she married Paul Boehms of Columbia who survives. Mrs. Boehms was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and was very involved in the activities of the church. She was also a member of Farm Bureau Women. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Mrs. Paulette Christensen of California, Mrs. Suzanne (Jimmy) Goolsby, Mike (Debbie) Boehms, Sammy (Karen) Boehms all of Columbia; grandchildren, John Paul Christensen, Jared Christensen, Jana Christensen, Tiffany Sensat, Megan Fowler, Adam Goolsby, Sidney Boehms, Kelsie Boehms; and great-grandchildren, Autumn Sensat, Addison Sensat, Hannah Boaz, Harley Fowler, Gracie Fowler, Hadley Fowler and Hayden Fowler. Active pallbearers will be Jared Christensen, Adam Goolsby, Sidney Boehms, Jimmy Goolsby, Jerry Boehms, Larry Boehms, Kevin Boehms, Keith Boehms and Ricky Boehms. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Jim Hewgley Sunday School Class at Riverside United Methodist Church. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. William Robinson, Carolyn Skelley, and the Staff of NHC Hillview for their care and kindness.
