Mary Ellen Funk

Mary Ellen Funk, 62, employee of Nissan, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her residence in Savannah, Tennessee. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brandon Cochran officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born October 16, 1960 in Tazwell County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Funk and the late Beulah Owens Funk. Miss Funk enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and playing guitar. She was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Braden; grandchildren, Cassie Braden, Bo Braden, Kaitlyn Braden, Joslynn Braden, Justus Braden; brother, Oscar Junior Funk; sister, Carolyn Vincent; sister-in-law, Linda Funk; nephews, Joe Provence, Mickey Elder, Mikey Elder, Calvin Funk, Kevin Funk; niece, Melinda Martin; and great nieces, McCarly Martin, Whitney Provence, Megan Provence and Melissa McMlain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Funk; and nephew, John Provence.
