Mary Jane Galloway Moody

Mary Jane Galloway Moody, 80, retired employee of Travelers Insurance Company and resident of Houston, Texas died Sunday, February 12, 2023 following a brief illness. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens to lay her to rest beside her husband. Born November 11, 1942 in Columbia, Tennessee, Jane was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sue Galloway. She was a 1960 graduate of Columbia Central High School. On February 22, 1964, she married Jerry Moody who preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Moody was a member of the 249 Church of Christ in Houston. Survivors include her sons, Steve Moody of Waveland, MS; Jeff (Phyllis) Moody of Cut Off, LA; daughter, Janet Moody of Houston, TX; grandson, Jerry Moody of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Jerry (Connie) Galloway of Pulaski; John (Kay) Galloway of College Grove; sister, Wanda (Richard) Walter of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Galloway.
