View Funeral Service Webcast Mary Rochelle McGregor, 86, retired legal secretary and resident of West Hardin Drive, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with her husband, Rev. David McGregor officiating. Burial will follow in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 29, Columbia, Tennessee, 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Jackson, she was the daughter of the late W.H. Rochelle and Margaret McCaskill Rochelle. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and Jackson Business College. On August 24, 1947 she married Rev. David McGregor. She was active in the churches she and her husband served during their 64 year marriage serving as secretary for churches in Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. They spent most of the last 40 years serving First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Columbia and McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Maury County where she was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Missionary Society and the Adult Sunday School Class. In addition to her husband survivors include two sons, John David (Gayle) McGregor of Clemson, South Carolina, Bill (Margo) McGregor of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandchildren, Mary (Todd) West of Columbia, South Carolina, Amy (Jason) Edwards of Birmingham, Alabama; and three great-grandchildren, David West, Ava Edwards, Garrett Edwards. Elders of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church will serve as Pallbearers.
