Mary Lou Dent Moss

View Video TributeMary Lou Dent Moss, 83, resident of Myers Avenue and retired pharmacy clerk for Wilson-Quick Pharmacy and Sims Drugs, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center.Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Dawson officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.comBorn in Clarksburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Charles and Rachel Dent. She was married July 1, 1951 to the late Howard B. Moss, Jr. Their 37-year marriage ended with his death March 2, 1988. Mrs. Moss was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Moss was a very loving mother to Sherrie (Mike) Hill, Charles (Melissa) Moss, Mike Moss, and Shelia Pogue of Columbia. She was a special "MawMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chris (Leigh Ann) Hill, Ginnie Hill, Delk Hill, B.J. Moss, Caleb Moss, Cody Moss, Shelby Moss, Dillon Moss, Todd Moser, and Scott Moser. "MawMaw" really enjoyed being able to spend time and play with her great-grandchildren, Kylie Roberts, Clark Hill, and Katie Hill. She is also survived by her brother, James Dent of Cookeville. She was preceded in death by another brother, Pete Dent.Honorary pallbearers are Ben Rosson, Jeff Revill and the staff of NHC Columbia. The family is extremely grateful to the NHC Staff for the loving care and concern they gave to Mrs. Moss.
