Mary Lucille Norman

Mrs. Mary Lucille "Lucy" Duncan Norman, devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 13, 2015. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born on December 21, 1928 in Giles County, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Flournoy and Lacy Follis Duncan. In 1947 she married Richard "Hoot" Norman who preceded her in death November 15, 1980. In 1959 they moved to Lakeland, Florida with their two sons, where together they built a beautiful loving home. Mrs. Norman worked for Davy-McKee for over 15 years as a Supervisor in the Purchasing Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Plant City, Florida. She is survived by her sons, Rick (Sandi) Norman of Plant City, Florida and Gary (Sandy) Norman of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Alley, Christina (David) Owenby, Ryan Norman, Garrett (Kathy) Norman; great-grandchildren, Hailey Norman, Alaina Owenby, Cole Alley, Alexis Norman, Jacob Owenby and Reese Alley.
