View Funeral WebcastMrs. Mary Elizabeth Kelley Sellars, 78, retired administrator at NHC Columbia and resident of Union Place, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Arch Warren and Rev. Steve Robertson officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Tennessee Foundation for Geriatric Education, c/o NHC Columbia, 101 Walnut Lane, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Wilson County native was the daughter of the late Richard L. Kelley and Sadie Edna Birtchett Kelley. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in Wilson County. Mrs. Sellars was employed at NHC Columbia for twenty-five years and retired as administrator. She was awarded the Administrator of the Year in 1981 and the garden at NHC Columbia was dedicated to her. Survivors include two daughters, Betsy (Dr. Gary) McNatt and Tricia (Dr. Victor) Beck, both of Columbia; two sons, Rick (Elaine) Sellars of Greenwood, South Carolina; Chris Sellars of Spring Hill; ten grandchildren, Ben Rosson, Mary Elizabeth McNatt, Vic (Juli) Beck, Adam (Holly) Beck, Gideon Sellars, Alex Sellars, Richard Sellars, Colson Sellars, Cam Alexander, and Courtney Alexander; and six great grandchildren, Chance Rosson, Lilli Beck, Charlie Beck, Jack Beck, John Beck, and Wyatt Beck. Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Edgar Arms, Charlene Holt, Brad Rector, Ann Coleman, Jay Nason, Dr. R. Douglas Kennedy, Dr. Jacques Heibig, Dr. C. W. Ball, and past and present employees of NHC Columbia.
