MRS. MARY SOWELL Mrs. Mary Evelyn Christy Sowell, 63, resident of Sam Boney Drive in Nashville, died Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ted Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. The Dickson County native was the daughter of the late Herbert Christy and Mable Singsang Christy. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Jack Thomas Sowell, Jr. of Nashville; one son, Marvin Jones, Jr. of Nashville; one sister, Mrs. Betty Oliphant of Nashville; one grandson, Marty Jones of Nashville; one great grandson, Merric Jack Jones of Nashville; and one niece, Ann Murry of Dickson.
