Maude Greenfield Davis, 95, retired from Dixie Manufacturing Company and former resident of East Ninth Street, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Bishop Jeff Fredline officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel Thomas Greenfield and Minnie Love Greenfield. Mrs. Davis was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Surviving is a host of nieces and nephews including Minnie Morrow, Beverly (Dewayne) Wesley, Betty (William) Rupert, Robert (Debbie) Peay, Beth (Ted) Jacobs, Carnice (Todd) Caskey, Van (Dot) Brown, Kathy Chambers, Linda (Tommy) Stewart, Curtis Brown, and Billy (Faye) Greenfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Levoy "Jimmy" Davis on May 26, 2000; sisters, Era Vick, Lois Brown, and Wanda Turpin; and brothers, Turner Greenfield, Sam Greenfield, Lee Greenfield, and Col Greenfield. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers and the High Priest Group will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family extends special thanks to the ASU Staff at Life Care Center and Elaine Burnheart.
