View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastMedia Inman Erwin, 90, resident of The Bridge of Columbia, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at NCH Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Frank Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10 - ll:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to ALS Association, Central TN Chapter, P.O. Box 40244, Nashville, TN 37204. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Will Aaron Inman and Irene Butler Inman. She was married to Clyde Robert Erwin for forty-seven years until his death December 30, 1994. She was a graduate of Culleoka High School and lived in the Culleoka Community until 1967 when she moved to Sunnyside Drive in Columbia, then moved to The Bridge of Columbia in 2009. Mrs. Erwin was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. She was a former longtime member of Culleoka United Methodist Church where she had been active in Bible School and Sunday School Classes. When the church closed she moved her membership to Glendale United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy (Jacky) Thompson of Culleoka; grandson, Robert (Julie) Thompson of Columbia; granddaughter, Robin (Marty) Smith of Centerville; great-grandchildren, Madison Smith, Lincoln Smith, Clayton Thompson, Wesley Thompson; sister-in-law, Doris Inman of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Pat, William, Jack, Frank, Clyde, Claiborne, Raymond and an infant brother. Pallbearers will be Robert Thompson, Marty Smith, Eddie Inman, Jack Inman, Danny Taylor, Jimmy Thompson and Jesse Quirk.
