View Funeral Webcast Mildred Underwood Huckaby, 84, homemaker and long-time resident of Lasea Road in the Bear Creek Community, died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jack White officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Walter L. Underwood and Betty Chestnut Underwood. She was a long-time member of New Lasea Church of Christ. She was married in 1943 to Roy Thomas Huckaby who preceded her in death December 8, 1970. Survivors include daughters, Vivian Crumley of Columbia and Sharon "Sherry" (Jay) Burns of Spring Hill; son, Ronnie (Margaret) Huckaby of Columbia; grandchildren, Thomas Burns of Spring Hill, Julie Crumley of Columbia, Karen Crumley of Columbia, Pamela (Troy) Hendley of Spring Hill, and David (Melody) Huckaby of Spring Hill; great-grandchildren, DeeAnna Crumley, Maverick James, and Justin Briggs, all of Columbia, Savannah Huckaby and Brittney Huckaby of Spring Hill; special caregivers, Sonya Jones, Shelby Palmer, and Latoya Hannah. The family suggests memorials to Jones Cemetery, c/o Barbara Harmon, 4636 Joe Peay Road, Spring Hill 37174.
