Mildred Derryberry Lunn

Mrs. Mildred Ann Derryberry Lunn, 81, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Joe Macer and Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, P. O. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Emmett Derryberry and Mary Winchester Derryberry. She was a long-time member of Eastside church of Christ. Mrs. Lunn loved gardening and especially enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married December 23, 1948 to Herbert Allen Lunn who preceded her in death January 10, 1984. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Lunn, Randall (Mary Wagster) Lunn, and Tim (Marsha Fuson) Lunn, all of Columbia; sister, Grace Derryberry Bolton of Columbia; brother, Paul (Bonnie) Derryberry of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Johnathan Lunn, Carmen (Jimmy) Ford, Amber Lunn, Marisha Lunn, Racheal Lunn, Tyler Lunn, and Garrett Lunn; great-grandchildren, Blake Lunn, Brittney Lunn, and Porter Ford; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edith and Grady Sharp, Ivie Harris, Betty Lentz, Mary Frances Bolton, and Martha Jones, all of Columbia, Pamela and Michael Davis of Franklin, and Andy and Wanda Lunn of Lewisburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Derryberry Carpenter and brothers, Eugene, Edward, Lester, and A. D. Derryberry. Active pallbearers are Guy Derryberry, Kyle Bolton, Patrick Hall, Dennis Derryberry, Troy Derryberry, and Tommy Lentz. Honorary pallbearers include Grady Sharp, David Ring, Allen Ring, Jerry Wright, Barry Rochelle, and nieces and nephews.
