View Funeral Webcast Mildred Crutcher "Mit" McCandless, 72, former employee of Kusan in Franklin and resident of Hobbs Drive, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Ronnie Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Crutcher Cemetery in Williamson County. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Matt Crutcher and Jessie Mai Smithson Crutcher. She was a member of Colonial Meadows Church for Christ. She was married February 5, 1971 to James W. "Mac" McCandless. Mr. McCandless died September 25, 1997. Survivors include a sister, Virginia Crutcher of Columbia; sister-in-law, Joan Anderson of Spring Hill; brother-in-law, J. D. Harmon of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Harmon and four brothers, Raymond Crutcher, Jerry Crutcher, William Crutcher, and James Crutcher. Active pallbearers are Troy Crutcher, Ronnie Crutcher, Bobby Crutcher, Ricky Harmon, Kevin Harmon, and Malcolm Hazelwood. Members of Colonial Meadows Church for Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
