MRS. MILDRED SIMPSONMrs. Mildred Brauning Simpson, 85, retired secretary at the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D. C. and resident of Columbia Garden Apartments, died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital.A private family service will be held at a later date. C. native was the daughter of the late Carl Leonard Brauning and Laura Edith Adams Brauning. She was married to Leonard H. Simpson who preceded her in death.Survivors include one daughter, Linda Simpson of Columbia; one stepdaughter, Marilyn Simpson of Eugene, Oregon; one stepson, Captain Michael D. Simpson of San Diego, California; and three step grandchildren.
