Miss Margaret Hutcherson

Miss Margaret Susan Hutcherson, 94, long-time resident of the Carter's Creek Community, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at NHC Columbia.Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Charles Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in Lasting Hope Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Beech Grove Church of Christ, P. O. She was a long-time member of Beech Grove Church of Christ.For a number of years, Miss Hutcherson worked as a saleslady for Harvey's Department Store and Walgreen Pharmacy in Nashville.Survivors include a sister, Helen Alvis of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, R. C. (Johnnie) Hutcherson of Columbia; niece, Patricia (Stanley) Valdes of White House; nephew, Edwin Hutcherson of Columbia; several other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Ellie Hutcherson, Avie Hendrix, and Grace Eckel; and brothers, Orville Hutcherson, Hardy Hutcherson, Robert Hutcherson, Clifford Hutcherson, and W. M. Hutcherson.Active pallbearers are Jeffrey Valdes, Terry Hutcherson, Gary Hutcherson, David Hutcherson, Ray Hutcherson, James Hutcherson, Terry Evetts, Terry Pruitt, Jerry Alvis, Lamar Hutcherson, and Zane Hutcherson.
