Monnette Fulcher Bruner

Monnette Fulcher Bruner, 62, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Camden General Hospital.

Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, June 28,2026 at 4:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM till the time of service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be extended at oakesandnichols.com.

Born on November 22, 1963, in Franklin, TN, Monnette was the daughter of Ann Thurman Fulcher and the late Carrol Fulcher. She received her Registered Electrical Apprenticeship through the Associated Builders and Contractors Construction Trades Academy and built a career marked by hard work, determination, and resilience.

Earlier this year, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Bruner.

Known for being as tough as nails, Monnette loved spending time at the river and the lake. She especially enjoyed camping and treasured the time she spent outdoors with family and friends.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, Michael “Blaze” (Kimberly) Sledge and Clifton Tyler Sledge; daughter, Shelby Latta Churchwell; brother, Todd Fulcher; sister, Shena Fulcher; grandson, Caden Earl Sledge; step-grandson, Jase Ashworth; brother-in-law, Tim Bruner; special friend, Linda Crockett; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Pomeranian, Gizmo.
